Tyn Rodyn is a converted town house near to the centre of Bangor , North Wales .
The Unit provides a residential rehabilitation program for 7 men and women from all walks of life who are motivated to maintain an alcohol and drugs free life style.
The unit is registered with the Care Standards Inspectorate for Wales (copies of the annual report can be obtained from http://www.csiw.wales.gov.uk).
Tyn Rodyn is for adults of any age with a substance misuse problem, who are motivated to maintain an alcohol or drug free life. The length of stay is reviewed regularly and is usually a minimum of 6 and maximum of 12 months.
The unit may accept people on some prescribed medication who have mental health problems. We do not, however, accept those suffering from a severe mental illness or who have a history of violence or arson , or those on maintenance doses of Methadone , Naltraxone or Subutex.
We expect new residents to be free from the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs on admission but do not specify a particular period of abstinence prior to admission. The unit may accept people on bail, parole or probation, dependant upon assessment prior to admission.
