About us

CAIS aims to empower positive changes in the lives of people affected by addiction, adverse mental health, unemployment, offending and other life challenges, through a range of services and support delivered by skilled and experienced staff and volunteers.

CAIS is a registered charity (1039386), with its head office at 12 Trinity Square, Llandudno  LL30 2RA.

Privacy policy

Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy is intended to give you confidence in the security of the personal information we obtain from you.

Please note that CAIS is not responsible for the use of personal information you provide to third-parties, including third-party websites which may be accessed via CAIS.  We recommend that you review the privacy policy of any third-party applications or websites you use.

 

Collection of personal information

When you use our services (including our websites), you may be asked for personally identifiable information such as your name, location, date of birth, email address and telephone number.

In giving us such information, you consent to our using it in the manner described in this policy.

Cookie information, pages you have requested, and your IP address may also be recorded by us, or by third parties.

 

Use of personal information

We use personal information to allow us to process your service requests, personalise your use of our services, enable us to improve the products and services we offer, send out newsletters, provide access to privileged areas of our website(s) and personalise your visit to our website(s).

Disclosure of personal information

We may provide information about you to our employees and agents to help us administer any accounts, products and services we provide to you.

Confidential information will normally only be shared with other agencies with your express permission.

Confidential information about you may be shared with other relevant agencies without your permission where there is assessed to be a child protection issue (or a risk to a child), where CAIS is required by law or a court order, or where the situation is justified in the public interest. 

Your details may be disclosed for promotional purposes only where we obtain consent from you in advance.

 

CCTV

Our premises and any premises in which we deliver our services may be covered by closed circuit television.

Images recorded by these systems will be used by CAIS, our partners and our agents to promote the safety and security of clients and staff.

Where CCTV is in use, advisory signs will be displayed prominently.

CAIS accepts no responsibility for the operation of CCTV systems and the use of data collected by such systems at premises owned and operated by third parties.

 

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time.

Cookies

Cookies are small data files containing an anonymous unique identifier.  These files may be saved to your computer or handheld device by the websites you visit. 

Our websites may use cookies for user authentication, keeping track of your preferences, promotional campaigns, tracking our audience size and traffic patterns, and in certain other circumstances.  We may include small graphic images in our email messages and newsletters to determine whether the messages were opened and if links were viewed.

Online security

We take the security of our websites very seriously.  Where applicable, we undertake security steps – including use of SSL technology – on the back-end systems which store customer account information, and to protect data transmissions.  However, this is not a guarantee that such data transmissions cannot be accessed, altered or deleted due to firewall or other security software failures.
