The sessions will offer ways of:

  • Motivating the person to address problems they have with alcohol and/or drugs
  • Helping the person to cope with stress and anxiety as a result of alcohol and/or drug use
  • Changing patterns of behaviour around the person's alcohol and/or drug use
  • Exploring the person’s concerns about their use of alcohol and/or drug use
  • Educating the person about the harm caused by alcohol and/or drug use
  • Reducing the risk of returning to misuse of alcohol and/or drugs
  • Coping with the craving for alcohol and/or drugs

Common presenting issues include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, low motivation, and poor sleep patterns.

Up to twelve entirely confidential appointments are offered in the first instance, but more may be made available if necessary.
