Supporting People Services - Denbighshire

OFA Project
This project aims to support people who are concerned about their alcohol use and/or need support to maintain their tenancy, live a stable lifestyle, maintain a tenancy, prevent homelessness, and engage in treatment services and relapse prevention.

Aims of the project include:

  • Independent living skills/ how to maintain a tenancy/ live a healthy lifestyle
  • Help with claiming benefits, other financial services and form filling
  • Support to access leisure activities or hobbies
  • Help/advice with budgeting/managing debt
  • Homelessness prevention/access to suitable accommodation
  • Organising access to professional help e.g. medical/legal
  • Organising access to education/training or employment

To be eligible for this service you should be:

  • Over the age of 25
  • Have alcohol related support needs
  • Either homeless or threatened with homelessness

Denbighshire Drug and Alcohol Project

This is a time limited (between 12 weeks and 12 months) Supported Accommodation and Floating Support project offering support to service users to maintain their tenancy or establish their own tenancy, develop confidence and living skills, promote stable lifestyles, and prevent homelessness, while providing housing related support alongside substance misuse services, contributing to a holistic service.

Aims of the project include:

  • Prevention and reduction of drug or alcohol misuse
  • Independent living skills/ how to maintain a tenancy/ live a healthy lifestyle
  • Relapse prevention and promoting a stable lifestyle
  • Support to access education, employment, training and voluntary work
  • Support to seek long term accommodation following move on from the project
  • Homelessness prevention/access to suitable accommodation
  • Individual support to achieve financial inclusion

To be eligible for this time limited service you should be:

  • Over 25 years of age
  • Resident in Denbighshire
  • Have alcohol or substance misuse related support needs
  • Single or a couple with no dependants
  • Either homeless or threatened with homelessness
  • In need of support to manage a tenancy
  • In need of support to establish a tenancy
