20 years investing in people! – CAIS awarded the Investors in People accreditation once again

CAIS is delighted to announce that following assessment by Investors in People we have been successful in achieving the ‘We invest in people’ Standard accreditation once again, making this the 20th year we have held the award!

The IIP accreditation means that CAIS’ principles and practices around supporting our people are in place and everyone understands how to use them to make work better! The accreditation is awarded based on staff feedback collected through a survey and interviews with a large and random sample of CAIS employees. The responses received through both suggest that CAIS is valued as an employer. The survey indicates that people believe there is a positive future for the organisation, that the structure and systems work well, that values are strong and underpin everything that CAIS does, and that people feel involved and empowered in the organisation. A number of interviewees commented how much they enjoy the ‘can-do’, ‘get-up-and-go’, flexible attitude at CAIS, and the speed by which decisions are made, with everyone interviewed agreeing that they are very proud of the contribution they make to the community and to their clients and feels this to be the most rewarding aspect of their job.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate CAIS. Being accredited with ‘We invest in people’ is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places CAIS in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

Most of us will spend around 80,000 hours at work in our lifetimes. For something that takes up such a large portion of our time, we believe people deserve to get more out of it than just a regular pay cheque. At CAIS, we employ over 250 staff across Wales and North West of England and we appreciate the hard work and commitment they put into their roles and would like to thank each and every one of them for their dedication. We are humbled to learn that they value us as an employer.

Commenting on the award, CAIS’ Trustee and Chair, Cledwyn Williams, said: “I am exceptionally proud that CAIS has managed to earn the Investors in People accreditation once again – managing to hold the award for 20 years is no small feat. The praise goes entirely to CAIS’ staff whose diligence and commitment to the organisation have allowed us to continue thriving, even during these difficult times.”
