CAIS HAS REOPENED the successful At-Your-Service catering and customer service training scheme to new applicants.
The newly-extended At-Your-Service 3 programme offers on-the-job training, opportunities and skills for young people aged between 16 and 24 from Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd or Ynys Môn.
The scheme is for people who are economically inactive or long-term unemployed, and have been affected by work-limiting health conditions – but who want to begin a rewarding career in the hospitality and catering industry.
Participants will benefit from real-life work experience at branches of Porter’s Coffee Shop in Colwyn Bay and Rhyl, or with other partners across the region.
They will also gain access to accredited qualifications and practical workshops, with the potential to progress to paid supported work placements.
The programme starts from 16 weeks, and includes help to find work from specialist employment advisors.
At-Your-Service-3 is supported by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government as part of the Active Inclusion Fund managed by WCVA.
Project manager Claire Jones said the she hoped the project would be able to help more young people progress their careers.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer these fab opportunities to more young people across North West Wales thanks to new support from the WCVA,” she said.
